A time-efficient route with verified addresses, operating hours, store types and tax-refund requirements—designed for product comparison rather than sightseeing prose.
Day 1: compare products in Seongsu
Begin at Amore Seongsu, 7 Achasan-ro 11-gil. The official Seoul tourism listing shows Tuesday–Sunday hours of 10:30–20:30 and closure on Mondays, Lunar New Year's Day and Chuseok. It is useful for testing Amorepacific brands in one place rather than for cross-retailer price comparison.
Continue to Olive Young N Seongsu at 13 Yeonmujang 7-gil, listed as open daily 10:00–22:00. Use the larger multi-brand assortment to compare the exact products, then check only currently confirmed pop-ups nearby.
Day 2: buy efficiently in Myeongdong
Use one of the large Myeongdong Olive Young branches as the main purchase stop. VisitKorea lists the established Myeongdong Town store at 53 Myeong-dong-gil with hours of 10:00–22:30. A separate Central Myeongdong Town flagship opened in March 2026 and is the chain's second-largest store.
Add the Laneige Showroom at 1F, 8 Myeong-dong 8-gil only if you want a single-brand consultation or service. Tourism listings can lag behind operational changes, so check the brand page or map listing on the visit date.
What to record while comparing
Record the full product name, millilitres or grams, number of units in the set, shade, sale end date and whether the price requires a coupon. A 1+1 bundle is not directly comparable with a single product, and a pop-up gift should not be deducted from the shelf price as if it were cash.
For overseas repurchase, check whether the same formula and size are sold in your home market. Sunscreen filters and SPF labels are especially likely to differ by country.
Tax refund checklist
Carry your physical passport and look for the Tax Refund sign before checkout. Under the national immediate-refund guidance, the purchase must be at least KRW 15,000 and less than KRW 1,000,000 per transaction, with a KRW 5,000,000 total-trip ceiling for immediate refunds.
Keep eligible goods new and unused and retain the receipt until departure. If immediate refund is unavailable, follow the general refund process at an eligible downtown, airport, mobile or port channel.
